  • What is the attire for the event?
    The event attire is tropical chic: Tropical Florida/Black Tie Optional. No jeans, no shorts. Tropical resort and fabulous!
  • Is there a room block at the Marriott Harbor Beach?
    Yes! There is a discounted rate. Email Betty Newborn to get the information! Please note you must make your reservation by May 2nd!
  • What is the schedule of events?
    Event registration begins at 7:00 p.m. After you register, you will enjoy and outdoor cocktail reception that includes the silent auction and some interactive guest experiences. The doors to the ballroom will open at 8:15 p.m. for dinner, program, live auction, live entertainment and lots of dancing!. The event is scheduled to end at 11:00 p.m. * We encourage guests to pre-check in ahead of arrival to reduce their wait time
  • Can I use cash for purchases on the night of event?
    Although credit cards are more convenient, since it will allow for a quick check out process when processing your donations, cash and checks will also be accepted at the event.
  • Can I make a Evening of Hope Donation ?
    Yes, donations are being accepted by clicking here. At the event, credit card donations are preferred as they will make for a better donor experience, but cash and checks are accepted.
  • Will I receive a tax receipt for my tax records?
    If you mail in your donation, the American Cancer Society will send you a receipt for your tax records, approximately six weeks after payment is received. If you make a donation online using your credit card, you will be directed to a confirmation page that can be printed for your tax records. In addition, an email will be sent to you that includes a receipt that can be printed for your records.

    Evening of Hope donations will support the mission of the American Cancer Society as it improves the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer. The American Cancer Society is the leading cancer-fighting organization with a vision to end cancer as we know it, for everyone.
